Bruno Bate is a Project Engineer at Jenmar Concepts. Bruno graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2008 receiving a B.ASc. in Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering Stream. Bruno began his career with Ballard Power Systems, where he worked in product development with the air-cooled fuel-cell stack division. His work included the development of accelerated lifetime tests for membrane electrode assembly (MEA) durability evaluation, as well as developing analysis tools for lab and field data. His responsibilities included providing systems integration support to clients throughout North America and Europe, both remotely and on-site as needed. Beyond hydrogen fuel cell experience with Ballard, Bruno has worked in the Natural Gas industry with OEMs in the automotive industry, such as Westport Innovations, as well as industrial equipment manufacturers such as IMW Compressors. Bruno has developed in-depth Excel and custom-programmed models designed to meet specific requirements. These include end-to-end CNG virtual pipeline applications for equipment sizing and process simulations, REFPROP-based compressor selection tools, and sales application tools to support the quoting process for OEMs. Bruno has experience with process design for thermal systems in the natural gas industry. Bruno is a registered Professional Engineer with Engineers & Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
