Dr. Diego Moreno is an energy leader with over 16 years of experience in downstream operations and low-carbon energy commercialization, including prior roles at Suncor, Ecopetrol, and Hatch, before moving into business development leadership. He currently directs the hydrogen and low-carbon fuels strategy at Edmonton International Airport, where he leads an end-to-end business development initiative covering the full hydrogen value chain, from supply to fueling applications, and manages a cross-functional decarbonization portfolio that deploys YEG as a commercial deployment platform. He also serves as Program Director at the Edmonton Region Hydrogen Hub, aligning regional infrastructure investment across government, utilities, and major industry partners. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Alberta.
