Terry Howe is Vice President of Commercial Development at HTEC, where he leads business development and strategic partnerships that support the growth of hydrogen mobility. He oversees vehicle leasing, engineering services, government relations, and marketing and communications.
With more than 30 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Terry brings deep expertise across the hydrogen and renewable natural gas value chains. His career spans engineering, program management, product management, and sales, with a proven track record of advancing clean energy technologies and commercialization efforts globally.
Before joining HTEC, Terry spent time with Greenlane Renewables as well as over 27 years at Ballard Power Systems in a variety of technical and commercial roles, concluding his tenure as Sales Director for North and South America, where he led key market growth initiatives. This extensive background in hydrogen and clean energy continues to support HTEC’s commercial growth and the development of strategic industry partnerships.
Drawing on his long-standing experience in the hydrogen sector, Terry has a strong understanding of its technical, commercial, and policy landscapes. As a leader at HTEC, a long-standing member of the Canadian Hydrogen Association, he has seen firsthand the importance of effective collaboration between industry and associations in advancing Canada’s hydrogen ecosystem. HTEC’s established relationship with CHA, along with its role as a recognized Canadian industry leader, further motivates Terry to contribute at the board level and help guide the sector’s continued growth and alignment.
