VulcanX Energy Corp.

VulcanX is on the mission to accelerate the transition to net-zero by providing low-emission and low-cost hydrogen and solid carbon. Our technology takes advantage of the natural gas grid to produce cost effective hydrogen on site. VulcanX is a spinout from the University of British Columbia. Together, they developed a $10M demonstration plant in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta in collaboration with ATCO. VulcanX is now doing the front-end engineering design of our next scaleup for a 1 tonne of hydrogen per day plant with funding from FortisBC, Alberta Innovates, Natural Resources Canada, and the Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy. A plant that will take us closer to commercialization.
