Q&A with new CHA member VulcanX Energy Corp.

VANCOUVER – The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and Hydrogen British Columbia are excited to welcome VulcanX Energy Corp. as our newest Start-up Member.  

VulcanX Energy Corp. has pioneered a patented technology aimed at producing hydrogen and solid carbon from natural gas pyrolysis (thermal cracking) with a focus on cost-efficiency and emissions reduction. The VulcanX technology utilizes molten metals operating at high temperatures to convert natural gas into hydrogen and solid carbon in an oxygen-free environment.

What is VulcanX Energy Corp.’s mission?

VulcanX’s mission to accelerate the transition to net-zero by providing low-cost and low-emission hydrogen and solid carbon.

Why did VulcanX Energy Corp join the CHA?

We are a proud Canadian company that spun out from the University of British Columbia. We have been supporting the CHA since its inception and now it is time that the company does its part too. 

What would you like to tell fellow members of the CHA community?

We are ready to commercialize our technology and are looking for opportunities for collaboration, expansion, and joint ventures!
