Solestiss joins the CHA as new Small Business Member

NIAGARA – The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and its regional affiliate Hydrogen Ontario are pleased to announce that Solestiss has joined as a Small Business Member.  

The CHA team had the pleasure to sit down for a Q&A with Elizabeth Buckmaster, Vice President of Strategic Client Relations at Solestiss, to learn more about the women-owned management consultancy that is dedicated to reshaping the energy sector. 

Welcome to the association! Can you tell us more about Solestiss and the company’s mission? 

Solestiss is a newcomer in the energy consulting sector, founded in 2023 and our Canadian office is located in Niagara Falls. We have grown to be respected by our clients not only for our strategic insights and innovative solutions but also for our dedication to empowering women in a traditionally male-dominated field. As a woman-owned business, Solestiss is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion within the energy industry, ensuring that our strategies not only foster technological and business innovations but also cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment. Our mission at Solestiss is to implement groundbreaking growth strategies within the energy sector, aiding clients as they navigate the complex landscape of today’s energy challenges. We provide comprehensive and innovative guidance, helping our clients to make strategic decisions that are aligned with their business goals and ethical values.  

What are the main service offerings at Solestiss? 

Solestiss specializes in market & technology assessments with a focus on nuclear, fusion, hydrogen, and renewables to steer clear market understanding and readiness; navigating complex transactions within the commercial acquisition and plant buy/sell processes; and assisting clients from concept to market fruition with a strategic, hands-on approach.

Led by Brooke Morrison, PhD, our founder and CEO, Solestiss boasts a robust team of seasoned experts with over 330 years of combined experience in energy and advanced nuclear sectors. This includes 11 former C-suite executives and a significant representation of women, with 67% of our team comprising talented female professionals. Why did Solestiss decide to join the CHA? 

Solestiss joined the CHA to align with like-minded organizations that are committed to advancing clean energy solutions in Canada and globally. How can CHA members collaborate with Solestiss? 

Solestiss is excited to collaborate with CHA members on projects that drive the adoption of hydrogen as a clean energy source. We are currently exploring joint ventures and partnerships that focus on the integration of hydrogen into existing energy systems, as well as innovations in hydrogen production and storage technologies. Additionally, we are interested in engaging with fellow members on regulatory and policy initiatives that support the hydrogen economy in Canada.
