The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) announces appointment of David Billedeau as new President and CEO
TORONTO – The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) is pleased to announce that its board of directors have appointed David Billedeau to serve as the new President and Chief Executive Officer effective July 10th.
Mr. Billedeau brings a wealth of experience in government relations, sustainability, and industry advocacy. Prior to joining the CHA, Mr. Billedeau served as Vice President, Climate and Environment at the Canadian Steel Producers Association where he championed decarbonization initiatives, including advancing hydrogen adoption in steelmaking.
He also previously led national natural resources and sustainability campaigns at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and supported government relations at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. Mr. Billedeau will bring this experience to his new role as President and CEO of the CHA, where he looks forward to working with members and partners to advance Canada’s hydrogen sector and clean energy future.
Mr. Billedeau completed his PhD in Sustainability Management at the University of Waterloo, where he held a fellowship with the Energy Council of Canada.
