The CHA and the Government of Canada Release the 2024 Canadian Hydrogen Sector Profile
OTTAWA – The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and the Government of Canada are pleased to announce the release of the 2024 hydrogen sector profile.
For more than a decade, the Government of Canada and the Canadian Hydrogen Cell Association (CHA) have collaborated to develop a comprehensive profile of the Canadian hydrogen sector.
The new profile serves to capture trends, growth and achievements for the Canadian sector, offer insights into the current state of the sector, and provide valuable information for policy makers, investors and other stakeholders.
The 2024 profile was commissioned by the CHA in partnership with Natural Resources Canada, Global Affairs Canada, and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), and conducted by iTotem Analytics. The information presented in the profile was collected through a survey of Canadian companies, educational institutes and government agencies that were directly involved in hydrogen related activities in 2023.
The profile also includes select industry highlights that were prepared based on publicly available information and information provided directly by organisations that participated in the consultations.
President and CEO of CHA, Ivette Vera-Perez said “We’re honored to collaborate with the Government of Canada and are grateful for the chance to showcase the impressive progress in the hydrogen sector in recent years. Most survey participants anticipate a promising future, with notable growth in revenue and job opportunities. We extend our gratitude to all organizations involved in shaping the Canadian Hydrogen Association Sector Profile 2024.”
A huge thank you to our sponsors Bearhead Energy, WSP, Toyota Canada, Powertech Labs, Ekona Power, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, Northern BC Hydrogen Hub, Triple Point Resources, NGen, Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, MéridaLabs, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), DMG events, and TES Canada.
