The CHA welcomes Nel Hydrogen as new member

The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) is pleased to announce that Nel Hydrogen has joined as a new member.

Nel Hydrogen is a global leader in hydrogen technology for energy applications. Founded in 1927 and headquartered in Oslo, Norway, the company has almost a century of experience in hydrogen production and related technologies. Nel offers a complete range of electrolyser solutions from pilot-scale to industrial production, with factory-built, containerized PEM systems, pressurized alkaline modules, and scalable atmospheric alkaline units that reduce costs and compress deployment time and field work. The company operates in 80+ countries has 1.5 GW annual manufacturing capacity with facilities in Europe and the United States.

Nel specializes in electrolyser technology for producing hydrogen from electricity, enabling commercial and industrial hydrogen economies. Its two main segments consist of Alkaline (alkaline water electrolysis systems) and PEM Electrolysers (proton exchange membrane water electrolysis systems).  The systems are designed for industrial and energy purposes, supporting clean onsite production across sectors such as steel, ammonia, green aviation fuel, shipping, transport, and generator cooling.
