The 4th Hydrogen Congress for Latin America and the Caribbean (H2LAC 2024) lands in Santiago, Chile, in June 2024.
We’re bringing the region’s largest green H2 event – H2LAC – to Chile and to the leader of Latin America’s hydrogen industry. Chile launched its hydrogen strategy over two years ago and has since announced more than 60 projects. The country is squarely positioned, like H2LAC, at the vanguard of hydrogen development in LAC.
Zooming out, the region as a whole is moving forward faster than anticipated. National roadmaps have recently been published in Argentina, Panama and Ecuador, and Brazil is studying $30 billion in low-carbon hydrogen projects. But while the opportunities are huge, key challenges still remain, not least the development of local demand to sustain and scale the industry.
Co-hosted by the Inter-American Development Bank, H2LAC is the hub for this transformative market.
